Trouble

Hello everyone,
I hope you're alright?! I apologize that I've made you wait a whole week for some news but again there was a lot going on for me here in Paris.
Of course I got sick AGAIN!! I really couldn't believe it but I'm glad it was just a cold and I'm getting a lot better so I hope it will be over the next few days.

I guess it's no wonder if you look at the weather at the moment. Heaps of snow everywhere, minus degrees --> not cozy at all!!

That I was sick again was not the only trouble I had though. There were some issues in my private life that I rather don't want to discuss about anymore. I am just trying to keep my head up and go on (as you all know me).

So I'm glad that I have a lot of work to do the next days as I will do a showroom for 8 days again. I will not be allowed to show you any pictures but I'll keep you posted if anything interesting occurs haha.

Furthermore, everyone is getting prepared for the Fall/Winter Fashion Week season starting in NYC on the 7th of February, so right now my agencies are discussing if I should start from there or only do Europe but we'll see and of course you guys will be the first to know. ;)

I wish you a nice day/evening! :) Enjoy it (like me)

Time for some new pictures

Hello hello, how are you doing?
I had quite a lot of castings today and one of them was the mooost important ever (already for the next show season) so PLEASE cross your fingers everybody! :-)

Tomorrow the German INTERVIEW magazine will be released - the one I shot in Berlin last month, remember? So I already have a little preview for you and the theme was "Accessories". Enjoy it and feel free to leave a comment. :-)

Oh and by the way --> I'm on TWITTER now! Check it out: @maike_kleiber

Toujours à Paris

Hey everybody,
so finally I can tell you some things that happened here, back in Paris. I was a bit busy these days and also had some private stuff going on so I hope you forgive me that I didn't keep you updated earlier.
Anyway, so far I was only doing castings so nothing special. Also we took new polaroids at the agency and my booker measured me. 2 centimeters more on waist and hips yaaay. :)

So at the moment I can still do some editorials because there are not so many girls in town yet. Also I hope that I will start the fashion week season from NYC because I have this one special option but I don't know yet. It would start in the first week of February so there's still some time.
Oh and I will work in a showroom again for a week at the end of this month. :)

So right now I'm just enjoying my weekend and we will see what's gonna happen next week. I know that there are some good options so let's cross our fingers. :-)

Have a nice start into the next week! :)

2013 starts iiin...

...PARIS!

Hello everybody and first of all SORRY that you didn't get any news from me.
I hope you all had nice holidays and a good start into this year. I celebrated New Year's Eve here in Germany with my friends. Also I really enjoyed my vacation back home because there was some family time, I went to the gym many times and I could meet my friends.

Anyway, my "work" year will start this Wednesday in Paris (like last year ended in Paris, too). :-)

I am really curious what this year will bring for all of us, both, professionally and in private. Personally I have big plans and I've always been an ambitious person, so I will really give my best and try my hardest to achieve some of my goals.

I want to wish you all the best for 2013 guys: love, health, friends, luck and success!

Here are some images of my home-vacation, enjoy. ;)

Review on 2012 and my New Year's resolutions

Hello everyone,
today I am trying to give you a little review on my year 2012 and I'm gonna tell you my resolutions for 2013.

As every year, the time went by way too quickly and now that I think about it, there were many many "special" things happening this year - both, in a bad and a good way.
To sum it up, here's a list of my 2012 events:
- my first cover (on the russian GLANZ magazine & pixx magazine)
- I graduated from highschool

- I became an adult ;-P
- I had the 2nd surgery of my life (wisdom teeth)
- little Tipsy (my cat) became a new family member
- I finally went on a cruise ship with my best friend
- I did my first tattoo
- the first year in ages that we didn't go on our annual family vacation

- I went to New York City and to Paris for the first time of my life
- I became a vegetarian
- and last but not least my dream job of modelling started and is still starting to become true

I hope I didn't forget any major events. So now it's time for my New Year's resolutions. Of course I'll keep some of them a secret to myself but those are the most important for the moment:

- maintain all important relations with my real friends and family
- bake and cook some recipes from my "to-do-recipes"-list according to my veggie lifestyle
- do a lot of sports (especially try to do sports while travelling) in order to maintain a good health and to stabilize my immune system since I was sick too many times in 2012
- keep up singing :)

- improve my language skills, especially French
- and most important: try to FULLFIL my DREAM of being a SUCCESSFUL MODEL

With these resolutions and my review on a very exciting and varied year 2012 I want to wish you a very happy New Year!

Beware of the new rock chick of 2013 haha ;)

Festival days = EATING

Hi everybody, how are you doing?
I'm sure you had some lovely holiday celebrations with your families and a bunch of good food. Me for example, I had some traditional German food like "Knödel" and "Spätzle".

Today I was in the city cause I died my hair again (picture to follow) - finally dark enough yay. :)
After the hairdresser I met my mum to do a little shopping after having a healthy lunch. The guy at the restaurant gave me the idea to this post, cause he asked us if we want any sweets as dessert with our Chai Latte but we refused because of all the huge Christmas eating and christmas cookies we had the last days. His reply was "Well, you have to enjoy this. And anyway, spring is far away." The first thing that came to my mind was: "Not for me, I always have to be in shape."
Also many people ask me if it's hard to keep the weight and they ask for some advice how to do so.

That's why I thought, I'd give you some tips how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If not now, then when?

As many of you know, I LOVE baking and I also like cooking. So for me it is impossible to abstain from something that I like and just yesterday I read an article that you shouldn't abstain completely from the food you love, e.g. bread or chocolate because eventually you would eat more of other things e.g. cheese, so you would end up with the same amount of total calories.
That's the good news. ;) If you want to lose some "Christmas kilos" you don't have to abstain from the food you love. The trick is to eat the correct amount.
I suggest to eat at least 3 amounts (1 = 1 hand full) of veggies and 2 amounts of fruits a day. If you are really disciplined you can try a trick in cooking. Why don't you twist the amount of the main dish with the sides? Try to consider the veggies as the main dish and the meat/fish/etc. as the sides. Also it is very important to drink enough! I drink around 2 litres each day and for me it's easy because I drink a lot of tea. Try to avoid sugary drinks though (you can save a lot of calories here).
Furthermore you shouldn't forget to get enough protein, e.g. from yoghurt, eggs or fish.
And it's true that you eat more during a day when you haven't had breakfast. Usually I tend to eat the most in the evening of a day, which is WRONG (I admit it). It's better to eat most in the morning/midday to maintain your energy for the day and then just eat a salat or soup in the evening, so your body can digest everything during the night.

Of course your diet will not work, if you are lazy and don't do sports. I know the weather is shitty at the moment, but why don't you go to the gym?
Trust me, you will feel better after and you can allow yourself to eat another christmas cookie after. ;)

I hope I could help you a little bit if you want to live a healthy lifestyle. However, as you know, I am NOT on a diet. To me, this is a lifestyle. I love to live healthy but of course I eat some sweets too because I love baking and if you are a steady follower of my blog you know that I'm rather struggling to keep my weight instead of losing it. So please don't take this post wrong.

I just wanted to share my way of a healthy, veggie living haha.

Merry Christmas!!

Guten Abend and hello from rainy Germany!

How have you been guys? I hope you are all set for Christmas and you have all gifts together? I'm basically ready, just have to wrap some presents but I'm so looking forward to Christmas. :)

Since I arrived on Thursday I already met one of my best friends to see the Christmas market, I went to my doctor, I played tennis, I baked something as a present and tonight I'm up to meet another friend.

I really enjoy the free time, especially because I am not sick anymore!

So for me Christmas already starts tomorrow. I'll go to the gym first and then we'll have lunch with my great grandmother and my grand-aunt.

On the 24th I will celebrate with my parents, sister, grandma and my uncle's family. Furthermore on the 25th and 26th I will visit my grandpa in bavaria to celebrate with him and my other aunt's family. As you can see, my family is pretty big and we'll have a busy Christmas haha.

So I wish you all the best for these lovely days :)
